my kind-of farewell to JBO post

There comes a time for everyone where one must hang up the keyboard and call it a day... Here it is almost 5 years later (sorta).

It was by pure chance that I found this site long ago. After my Cutlass died, my next car was a 1990 Cavalier sedan. The engine and tranny both blew up, I had a 1989 Cav that my step sis totaled. Through much research in the second gen forum at the time, I figgered out that swapping in a 5 spd was gravy. Well, that car didn't last long, about a year, and again by chance I found myself in another J-body (I had no clue a Sunfire was a J when I bought it). I was heavily planning out the rebuild of the Gutless Cutlass, however plans changed, but I still have the parts lists

I still have the ol' Cutty. She's parked redneck style, in the front yard. Hasn't really moved since I had her towed home from the interstate, waiting for me to get started on what I had in store.

But alas, that won't happen either

I have to move in the next couple months - meaning the Fire has to be road ready by then, also meaning that internet access will be limited for a while after the move.

Rest assured though, I will be back w/ plenty of updates on the Fire... just have too much on my plate right now, so, while I will be still checking in until the time I have to move, the only post that I will be following is the V6 swap one in third gen (in case I have any questions finishing up)

So...

Josh (IZN), whenever those tails get going, let me know. I have cash in hand right now for 'em.
Ryan (WhiteRaven) - those LED's never ended up on my sister's car... she sold it before I could install 'em... so they are still in my closet. still haven't managed to figure out what I'm doing w/ 'em though.
Drake - you have my e-mail address... any questions you might have on that swap, let me know, I'll do my best to help out (so you don't have to dig through the I don't know how many pages in that thread)
To the guys at Team Green - I can't wait to test out that LSD
GAM, Lenko, Carrie, tabs & Nikki, y'all are a wealth of knowledge and are good assets to this site, and, although I haven't personally met all of you, good people as well.
Alexis, you're welcome
Godspeed -- hope those brakes worked for ya
Darkstars - Just my opinion, but good choice with the GTC.
Jarett - I'm still holding the first drive for ya if I can get the Fire running in time (well... second if you count me)

And to everyone else, stay safe and have a kickass time at the Bash(es)

I hope I am the Carrie you're referring to . I'm the only one on here that I know of though . Thanks so much for the kind words. Although, you yourself are also a great wealth of knowledge . Hopefully someday we'll be able to meet in person. It's always nice to be able to put faces with usernames.

Good luck with the continuing progress of the 'fire and good luck with the move. Can't wait to see you back here with some updates! Take care .
