I was watching the news the other day here in Detroit....they reported that a Cadillac Escalade was stolen. How is that possible with Passkey III? Can this system be easily by-passed??
Did they mention whether it was towed away or broken into?
No security measure is inviolate.
OMG a stolen Escalade!!! no way! they steal them all the time, mostly for the wheels and front end. i must see at least 1 a week, 90% with the ignition smashed, missing the wheels and front end.
i was told by our state farm insurance adjuster how to steal new GM trucks and SUV's. we where talking about a stripped 07 trailblazer that came in. im not going to say how they steal them, but the only tool is a pair of channel locks. they just drive off in them, the truck thinks it has a key.
cars are not hard to steal by any means, a little skill and its gone. if its a really high end car they just take it with a tow truck. if they really want your car the will get it.
