The good things of JBO...

I tell you what. Seeing all these nice looking rides on here along with hard work and detication people put into their J-bodies, this site actually keeps me motivated to keep adding things to my car. I have been back and forth bout weather or not i should sell my car. But everytime I get on this forum and look as well as read to some of the things you guys do to your cars, why would I want to sell it. I never realized how much potential j-bodies can have. People are inspired by others on here for their work weather its having a fast a$$ car or custom wide bodies and interiors all done up. Yes people that arent j-body owners might ask us "Why would you spend soo much money on a cavalier or sunfire?" I just answer back "Why not?"

Its also nice when you get to see each others cars on here, then have meets to where you can actually see each others cars in person, It just makes it soo much better. and not only do you get to read and see pics of someones rides, you also get tips and how to's on how to do things to your own car. Its very helpful.

If it werent for this site, my car would have probably been sold a long time ago. I want to give a big thanks to everyone on here. Because in some way or another, its helped me as well as others to want to keep spending money on our cars. Is it just me or does any of this apply to anyone else?

i guess i'm the opposite... whenever i get on here it makes me feel a little depressed knowing that my cav wont be to the level of a lot of people's because i dont feel like dumping a @!#$ ton of money into a bottom of the barrel economy car. plenty of potential, no doubt... but it takes plenty of cash to tap into that potential.

Check out my build thread!

Mine ain't the prettiest, ain't the fastest, and certainly won't be one of the "top rides", but when it all comes down to it, at the end of the day, I look at what I've done so far and am proud of what I've accomplished even though I'm nowhere close to being done.

If it weren't for the folks that pioneered some things, nothing I've done so far would have happened.

I'm sure one of these days I'll get tired of working on it, but until then, I remain content

I love everything about my car and it's cool to see others who feel the same way. No matter what anyone else ever says to me, I still feel the same about my car and what I've done to it. I build it because I enjoy it, not to make others like it. if they do cool, if not oh well.

exactly how i feel, but what i also enjoy is the layout of the forum and quality of work dave throws on this site. i wish a whole lot more uf us went premium to support it though, anyway its a great layout and a quality site. many of the other forums i have seen been to or my friends are on are terrible, basically lines seperating your text and a white blank screen in the back.

Aww hell well that post was shot to @!#$.

This place is great for finding ideas to change your car to suit you better. Cavaliers will never be the fastest, most sleek looking cars on the road, and it truly doesn't matter. Not every car is made for shows or the drag strip. It's about having a hobby and getting some sense of pride in your work. It's also about being unique, I can count the number of modified J's in Passaic Jersey on one hand. I'd need to sprout an extra 20 hands to count the number of modified preludes crx's and subarus in my town alone.
