When is everyone gonna start getting the wheels off of their cars and getting it ready for the winter months?
2009 Ford Mustang V6
most likely next month before the snow starts to fall.. Until then the rims stay on
.
what is this winter you speak of? We're lucky to have 2 days of snow here in the Pacific NW...
Isn't that what a beater is for?
some like me dont have a beater. mine is year round.....
2009 Ford Mustang V6
2 weekends ago....gold came off and stock went back on
I gotta go and pick up some winter tires considering we have some pretty harsh snowstorms up here, I guess that's what you get for living in northern saskatchewan.
Well I live in Minnesota and drive my Sunfire year round right now ( I need to get a beater).
I have full blown snow tires on my stock rims... but I'll probably wait until we have a good amount of snow and it sticks before I swap out the wheels. (basically when the streets start getting slippery).
I also wash my car at least twice a week minimum in the winter to keep all the salt of the car... sure my doors freeze shut alot, but the car doesnt rust.
Probably do it next weekend...37 degrees outside right now!!! Brrrr
^^^^^
I have my A/C on in my apartment right now, and I live in MN.... it's been nice out here.
There must be a cold front comming or something.

Mine too, in my garage, since my KZOO BBQ in August.
You guys that put a lot of time/money into your rides need to get a winter beater
before you go all out on your summer car.
There's no way I could drive the Z in the winter with all the mods it has now, LOL.
Yes, it's my REAL car. No, it is NOT photoshopped or "this is how my car will look someday". It's the REAL DEAL.
winter blows.
im gonna try something different this year, since i usually start tearin the car apart early each fall and cant drive it, then in like december theres a freakn 70 degree day and it pisses me off, i think im going to leave her together until january first so i can drive it if the occasion calls.
but, i'll go out once a week and get run the engine up to tempturature just to keep things nice n lubricated. im going to get a huge tarp and tape it to the floor of my garage also, last year my rotors rusted because of the condinsation off the floor, i heard this is a good little trick to keep the moisture out. getting a really nice car cover as well.
well it was 90 yesterday here in Indianapolis, Indiana. 3 days straight now. cold is comin and i'm sure it will be here real quick. now that auto-x is over, i can take my bronze rims, carbon fiber hood and trunk off and slap on my black rims and stock hood and trunk this next week or weekend. the only problem is i need to get new rubber on my black ones, they are pretty bald from usin them most of my auto-x season.
