Anyone happen to have one? Specifically the exit side.
I wanted to see if it would be slightly possible to use the downipe and converter from a 2.4 on my 3400. I think they use the same connection, but i'm not sure.
I've got some old (and inaccurately labelled!) manifold pics...

I'm sure you know... but if anyone else is wondering... yes the one marked 99 is a 98... all the 2.4L 96-98 manifolds are the same... as are the 99-02 ones.
...j
link didnt work for me
the 96-98 is a 4 bolt flange , the 99-02 is 3
if i remember the 2 closer to the block are wider spaced , on the 96-98
Thanks Lenko, that's what I was looking for.
And I see that they are not the same like I thought.
I hate being wrong.
yeah isnt the triangular one for 2000-2002 and the bottom, rectangular shaped one a 96-99?
Nope... the 3 bolt triangle one is a 99-02. The 4 bolt rectangle one is a 96-98. Unless someone finds the unicorn (a 99 with EGR)..
99's have one wire off the O2 sensor mounted in the manifold... 00-02 have two wires. But the manifold is the same... all my parts listings confirm this
lol u just said the same thing i did man! technically 96-99.5 and 99.5-02.
No one has found a 99.5 yet, in a J-car.
huh? im just saying thats when they began to switch over to the newer style of things. i am by no means claiming they're is a 99.5 year j-body. its just easier to understand by saying 99.5-02 instead of 96-99 99-02 because they're were 99's that didnt have the newer stuff.
ive personally seen 99's with the EGR and all the attributes about the 96-98 engines. as well as 99's without the EGR and the things atrributed to the 2000-2002 engines.
so thats why i say 99.5, so its less confusing.
I'm saying 96-98, you're saying 96-99.
I've pulled lots of engines and manifolds at wrecking yards over the years, and examined hundreds more... every single 99 I've seen in pieces (which is probably around 250 or so now), has the later manifold and no EGR. I would love to see a 99 J-car with EGR... because no one else here except for you has actually seen one. We've all heard of them... but for all the looking, I've never seen one. According to the VIN, my parent's 99 was one of the first 500 1999 model year cars off the line, and it has no EGR on it. So.. I'm convinced that there is no 99 with EGR.. and it's a bad rumour that's been perpetuated by people spreading misinformation.
If you have actually seen one as you say... I apologize, I'm not here to call you out or call you a liar or whatever. Just that no one else here, including people who work on them every day at GM dealers, has come up with actual evidence of a 99 with EGR yet. One guy thought he had one in the driveway... he checked, and was wrong. It happens.
Now... if we're talking N-body cars... yes, I've seen one (and only one) 99 Malibu that had EGR on it. It was stock too... my friend's dad still drives it, with 380,000 kms on the original 2.4L... what a trooper that car is...

ok, well i'll give it to ya then. the 99's ive seen were just the engines. so yeah i guess they could have been from a different car. they didnt have the fuel system or upper engine mounting systems in-tact so i had no way of really knowing if they came out of an n-body or anything.
im going to be on the hunt for a 99 j-body now that has the EGR.
All 99's j-bodies I have seen do not have EGR...including mine. I'm sure one might exist, but I have never seen one.
BUT my step sisters' 99 Malibu had EGR on it.
