take action against a seller here on the org when....
There is BARELY any communication after I have sent payment
He says he will ship it out after work the day paypal payment was made
After not being shipped THAT day, he comes back and says he'll ship it after work again
and you dont hear from him after that?
Well some insight on the transaction.. I am IN NO WAY trying to bash this guy, or I may even be a lil impatient, but its been more than a week since first payment was made..
Now Ive been on the org 6+ years and have NEVER had a problem with buying and selling in the classifieds, but this one just doesn't feel right. Im not gonna name names, or say what I bought because like I said its only been a week. BUT, emails are non existant anymore after payment was made and before payment, I could get a hold of him with no problem..
Now I sell shiat all the time on here and I at least have the decency to email someone back giving them updates on shipping, when imma ship it out and even give them tracking #'s.. I wouldn't dare go over 2 days without some kind of update.. THATS JUST ME THOUGH.
Im not mad about this, I just think its funny my time probably has finally come to get scammed buying something on here lol.
I just want to know, when do YOU think is appropriate to take action through paypal?
And dont give me no bull@!#$ of "dude its only been a week" Well no crap lol, like I said communications have dissolved since payment.. Thats the point of this post

sometimes people are busy and just dont update you. ive had things shipped and not recieved any kind of email or anything and about a week later they show up. i usually dont start to worry until its been like a month or so. i bought a 2.3 manifold from someone on here and when i paid, i sent an email asking if its been shipped. he said he forgot to ship and but now that i reminded him he would ship it. a week goes by and i have it. some people just get caught up in alot of things. with all the stuff on the org i could understand why people would be worried over a week but id just give it time and see where things go. if you wait 2 weeks and he still doesnt email you or anything then i would get a little worried. you can always file a claim with paypal.

I agree. As you already are well aware of, it's only been a week. Granted some update would have been nice, I would wait for about 3 weeks to a month to really start worrying. Maybe just send him/her a friendly e-mail or PM reminder, and let them know that you can't wait for the item to show up, and maybe it'll remind them that somebodies waiting on it.
If worse comes to worst than you spill the info on them, and we all track them down and beat them over the head with some baseball bats!

Oh, another reason im pretty leary, the dude barely has a profile, hasn't posted in 30 days, and has been a member since 05.. We were going back and forth in email for TWO DAYS before I paid him.. So thats why I thought it was cool to go ahead and do the transaction..
We'll see.

Well, it has almost been 2 months, and i still have yet to receive HVAC knobs, the IDI washers, and side vents from a Z.
I sent the payment the first week.
He has just been busy, and i accept that. But then again, at least he makes contact with me.
He sent them out yesterday
Just give it another week, if there is no communication in a whole week, i say go after him. There is no reason to not respond in a week.

most of the time i order something and then forget i ordered it until it arrives. then i'm like sweet!
no communication sucks. i'm on my pc 9 hours at work, 1 hour b4 work, 2-5 hrs after work. i have no excuse not respond to someone. it gets frustrating a lot when you are waiting for response on somethin you want/need. i'd keep emailing if i were you.

at anytime you stop getting communication for 4-5 days and start to worry about it, file a dispute with paypal. you can close it at any time and it wont hurt the seller's account with them if you two end the dispute amicably. thatll usually light a fire under their ass to either get it out or refund your $.

I like to stay in communication with people as much as possible. I don't want one of these threads brought up in my name or the buisness name, so i always keep the receipts that i shipped everything with and if doubt is ever raised i back my ass up.

yeah, I heard that..just keep waiting..then I waited too long..apparently after 45 days you can't file a paypal dispute. I was out $100 it sucked

I can personally attest to forgetting to reply via PM or email that I've shipped an item out.
Usually on Ebay I get positive feedback and go "hey I guess he got it".
