Shop manual for 3rd gen

Not sure if anyone is willing to do this, or has done it but I'll try anyway. Does anyone have the shop manual on a cd or a pdf file that they are willing to host somewhere, to let people download it or view it? I know I can buy it off ebay on a cd, but just wondering if anyone has it hosted somewhere where they wouldn't mind someone downloading it for PERSONAL USE ONLY, not intending to make copies of it or sel them or anything. just like to have it on my jump drive full of J body stuff.

I already have the Haynes Manual. I'm talking about a CD copy of the shop manual that all the local garages and mechanics use. they are available on ebay and Compact Disc. Didn't know if anybody had it and was willing to host it. Thanks anyway Kardain!

I know you wanted a download but just for S&G:

A few years ago I MAY HAVE found a cracked copy of GM's Techline program on ebay with only the .inf files for the '05 Cavalier. The guy is PROBABLY no longer on ebay as I gave the info to a buddy of mine with a Vette and we looked all over a few weeks ago and found nothing. Techline is along the lines of ShopKey or Mitchell-On-Demand. If you could find something like that, it MAY be worth the $40. It has everything including wiring diagrams, flowcharts and troubleshooting instructions, EVERY THING that GM could put into print for the car right down to the torque on the screws for the heat shields on the cat. It's in a menu format using IE. It's not a PDF. I don't know if I could copy the disc (NOT TO ADMIT THAT I HAVE A COPY) but if I get some time this week, I'll try burning a copy (again not admitting that I have a copy) and try to load it on my laptop just to see if it works. I'll let you know.

If you can find it get ahold of the newest "alldata". The program has all information for all cars up to the date of the release.

^I just got a complete set of shop manuals for my '98 for about $18. That's money worth spending if you plan on doing any work on your J. That same seller seems to have plenty of them and I had no trouble in my transaction so I'd check it out.

I have a copy of the GM eSi "Service Information" DVD that I bought from a guy on Ebay a couple of years ago. It has every GM vehicle from 98-05... schematics, mechanical information, torque specs, etc. The later model years have all the owners' manuals and stuff too... probably exactly what you're looking for... cost me about $120 back then. I have no idea where he got it from... probably illegal to distribute, as I'm not a GM dealer... but I work on so many cars, it was exactly what I needed back then, and it's helped me so much over the years now. I siphon info from it to here, in order to answer some of the more technical questions when they pop up. Great resource... have a look on Ebay, maybe you'll get lucky.

It installs onto your hard drive, so it's always accessible. A couple of gigs tho... big stuff..

Thanks for that info, I understand if you wouldn't want to do this but, do you think you would be able to host it somewhere? Even if it's just long enough for me to download it? I would really like to have this, but obviously I'm going to try and see if there is someone willing to let someone take it before I pay $100+ for it. I have no intentions to distribute it, it's for personal use only. Thanks ahead of time, and I completely understand if you feel you don't want to do it...

I don't have anywhere I can host 4 gigs of data. Besides, my upload rate is soooo slow it would take a month! Sorry dude.

I gots me a copy of the Mitchell on Demand....very nice, but I think my version only covers to 2006....but it has EVERYTHING for EVERYTHING, chevy or otherwise. It is 6 full DVD's for repair, plus another DVD for estimator, which has a parts locator and everything....pretty sweet really.
