what years and what cars did the 2.3 engine come in? Im currently looking for a throttle body off of that engine and remember seeing a list on here somewhere but for the life of me cant find it no matter how hard I've searched. Any help would be appreciated!

I know that the 95 z24's came with the 2.3. But im not sure about other years.

For 1995, a balance shaft-equipped version of the 2.3 L version was produced. A clever arrangement ensured a constant load on the shafts: The crank drove one shaft, which drives the second, which drives the oil pump. The shafts spun at twice the engine rpm, forcing the redline to be reduced from 6800 to 6500 rpm. Output was 150 hp (110 kW) and 150 ft·lbf (200 N·m). This was the only Quad 4 family engine produced in 1995. This was known as a transitional year for the engine family.

The oldsmobile engines were high performance models released as a W41 package. The engines such as those that came in the Beretta GTZ where HO (high output) engines, and all of the lower performance versions were LO engines. The 1995 model is a higher hp rated LO engine. The balance shafts were put in to quiet the engine among other things.

Better flowing head
Higher lift/duration heads
Larger injectors

Tranny gearing was different too.
