I dont normally figure my MPG, but after putting a new header on I decided to see if any improvement. I am now averaging (City?Highway) 40 miles to the gallon. I have not figured my City or Highway MPG separately so I cant say how much better it would be on the Highway alone. What is everyone else getting in their cars ??

when I had my 99 2200 with I/H/HFC/MBE I was averaging 38-40 mixed driving all the time and 42-45 for highway only on longer trips.
I just took the 3400 Sunfire out... burned through 14 gallons in 180 miles
But boy was it fun
33 mixed city and highway in the eco.
26 in the bmw ahhhh premium

i'm lucky to see 26mpg mixed(about 90% of it is highway though) and my LD9 is bone stock lol. I don't beat on it anymore, which is why it went UP to 26...i used to only get 23-24.....very sad, i know.
my diesel golf gets around 55 to 62mpg.............
My Cav

Oooo I got a 23 out of her this week, that's a huge difference from what I was getting before. The spark plugs were regapped & new fuel filter. This was the first time I got to check out mpg since that, guess it helped a tad. You guys getting way high mpg amaze me, my car is just crap. I swear I don't beat on it
i get around 25-26 mixed highway and city mpg outta my 2.4.
i figured my highway mpg separately one day, and i was getting around 33 mpg. not too bad.
Check out my build thread!
i get 25-30 depending on how i drive it. i do mostly highway driving
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
Sweetness now gets about 26- 27 mpg highway.... and about 24-25 mpg mixed.
My 2.2 beater gets about 30 mpg mixed and about 33 mpg all highway.
Apparently my boosted tuning is doing quite well compared to some peoples stock setups.
Last year I went all of 120 miles on a 14 gallon tank... quite the improvement lol.

Slowly but surely may some day win this race...
Well, back in April of this year, I drove from kitchener, Ontario to Ottawa Ontario and sputtered into a gas station just inside the quebec border. The Trip Odometer read 862km when I started pumping. That's around the 40MPG mark if you do the conversions. That was all highway, NO city, no hard acceleration, maximum speed was 105kph but average velocity of 100kph. I was running 89 octane (middle grade) from Esso (Exxon/Imperial Oil for all the Americans out there
) and everything is all stock. So I wonder if I'd see improvements with an aftermarket performance header?
I pretty much average 30-32 mpg between city and highway with my 98 2200 ohv, i pretty much get half of that with my 93 cutty convertible
1993 Olds Cutlass Supreme Convertible
3.4L Twin DOHC V6 4 Speed auto
My Sexy Baby...poor gas mileage
1998 Pontiac Sunfire
2200 OHV 4cyl 3 Speed auto
My Daily Beater...great gas mileage
the silver eco got 30 last tank
the ohv averaged 25-28 city taking it easy

There is no way you are getting that kind of gas mileage.
FORGET GIRLS GONE WILD WE HAVE GOVERNMENT SPENDING GONE WILD!
I know it seems kinda high, but for the last 4 weeks running I have only had to fill up once for the whole week and I drive about 85 miles a day to and from work. I did notice that my mileage is a lot better when I use my Cruise Control. I use my cruise control every chance I get. I need to fill up today and my trip meter says 428 miles and my refuel light just came on this morning. I can usually get about another 40-50 miles or so before she is empty. Most people would disagree, but I know from experience that my intake system is helping with both power and economy.

If I can force myself to run 60 MPH with teh windows up I can get 38.5 MPG in my 98 Z (15.3 gal tank) aprox 589 miles if i ran it empty. With the windows down its only about 35.5 MPG, so 543 miles if i run it dry. The furthest I have gone is about 430 miles because my fuel gauge is a little inaccurate.

Ok I just figured you up to about 35mpg's based off of what you said. You have 428 on your trip now, and your gas light is on. You have around 2 gallons left. Give or take a little. 428 divided by 12.1 (just made this up) is 35.3719. Now 15.3 (tank size) subtract 12.1 leaves 3.2 gallons. If I was to change the 12.1 to a higher number your MPG is going down.
Still 35 is very good, and better than most people get on any car out there. I do not mean that cars do not get better, but you would be surprised how many people get poor gas mileage because of car maintance, or how they drive.
FU Tuning
I usually get around 31-32 mixed. On a trip to New Orleans I managed to average 38
On long trips from home to Kentucky I usually et around 430 miles or so before I need to get gas.
