No way!! There was a Toyota Cavalier??? Thats MAD JDM!!!

/ sacarsm.

Seriously though, people are idiots, plain and simple. Unless you REALLY are into the J-Body scene, people do not know that the Cavalier was in other countries under different badges.

it wasn't REALLY a "toyota" anyways... just a re-badged chevrolet with some different attributes made for a different country. you can buy every single attribute through GM, as they made everything for them.

twist their noodle some more, tell them TRD had a hand in making 50 of them.

I don't recall seeing a "Chevrolet Sunfire" when I went down to Mexico last year. They had Pontiac Sunfires just like we do... arrowhead logos and all. The only difference from the ones down there and the ones up here that I noticed, is that they didn't have airbags, had different much cloth interior that looked much nicer/more comfortable than what he have, and they don't have those fancy RDS equipped radios that we do. The same goes for the cavaliers down there.. but they had badging on the side like the sunfires do, and on the fabric on the door panel.

I did happen to notice a 2nd gen Sunbird that had the bowtie and z24 logos on it. Maybe that's what you mean?

I'm going to have to look on my old computer for the pictures I took... because I took pictures since I knew people would think I was crazy.

Did a google on the images for "Chevrolet Sunrife". How gay, it still has the pontiac arrow in the front. So it's a double branded p.o.s.

The two sunfires I saw in Mexico City didn't have "Chevrolet" stamped across the back. So I guess different parts down there got different sunfires. Anyway here's the wonderful quality camera phone pics I promised.
