I'm sure this will go nowhere, and wont happen, but worth a shot.
I wish JBO had a karma/rep feature like alot of others forums use. Not only can it be useful, but its also fun to mess with people, while keeping it from cluttering peoples threads with useless posts.
The one forum im on has it where you can give pos or neg karma, and the user can see it in their control panel. It has a list of all your pos/neg with a comment they can leave when giving karma.

I agree, but nothing will get changed to this site in the very near future.. Take a look at the other threads people are complaining about when it comes to this site haha.

also, to add to that, the other forum I was referring to....it also has your karma rating next to you username in all your posts. So in JBO's case, maybe next to your name/premo status/etc

People have their complaints and their likes and dislikes about this site all the time i doubt that will ever change, but hey if it's something you feel would be a vast improvement to this site it's worth the suggestion anyway.

get a contest going, to see who'd end up with the most negative points hahaha.
meh, every site i've seen the karma on usually ends up with it being a popularity/pissing contest.
i do like the idea for buyers/seller though, kinda like an ebay feedback rating.

ya, it certainly wouldnt be an accurate reading of any given member, but it adds fun to the forum, and again, could help keeping useless posts out of peoples threads.
And a way to reset people would be to have some form of rules around it...like if you get banned, you lose all your karma, or if you get a warning, you lose a portion, etc.
