Hey, was wonderin if anyone had heard of a quad-4 produced in a sunbird (88-89) just curious
Not that I can remember. Don't think the quads went into the J-body from the factory until '95. Prior to that it was the 2.0, 2.2, 2.8, and 3.1 as far as I can remember. I "think" the 2.3 was only in the L-body, N-body, and W-body prior to '95.
I think the bird in '88-89 would have had the 2.0 and the 2.8 as the available engines?
the only "quad" in a J was in 95 and it was a combo of the twin cam and a quad 4 really
the Twin Cams were similar in design to the quad 4s but were also a bit different, sort of like a decedent of the quad 4
i think the only cars in 88 or 89 that had a quad were the olds calais, but i may be wrong, something tells me they started in 91
I found the same info, except quads were in many cars, skylarks, grand ams, calais, achievas, and berettas. i found the junk quad was in a jbody in 95, sunfire, and cavalier.
