been doing some research on the gas they sell in my area could this be the cause of a decent feul mpg loss since it's E10 gas with is only 90% gas and 10 % enthanol i heard something like a 3-5% loss is possible due to the lessened btu output of the feul

yeah florida atleast mandated it into law only problem is it's kinda screw ball for us with all the moisture in the air . suposedly it makes it easy for gas to spoil with very minimal water intrustion and it reduces the effciancy by alteast 3 %

can you run warmer range spark plugs to counter this or a higher intensity coil

The only gas stations in my area that are not 10% ethanol are Citgo that I know of. The companies are not required to mark their pumps as such in PA, so you never really know just by pulling up to a pump.

All fuel in the midwest has been this way for quite some time.

ALL Sunoco's have been e10 for years.

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again

seems florida wanted to push the use of ethanol so they forceable required the prodcution of the enthanol and adding of it into gas at the maxiumun rate 90/10 for regular cars and 15/85 for e85 capable you cannot find any public gas station that sells anything but. sounds kinda stupid though cause it seems like it's very prone to being runied by water

All the Shell stations in my area have gone to the E10 gas.
I went from my very consistent 42mpg to 38-39 mpg because of the E10. Sucks.
The car doesn't run quite as good either with the E10. I thought I was having issues with the car initially until I did some research on the Ethanol gas.
It really makes no sense why gas companies would feed your car something that would give you less mpg. I just don't get it.
Btw my daily driver is a Toyota Paseo with the 1.5. I've not run the Cavy on the E10 yet and I'm afraid to introduce it to the Cavy. So I'll just switch brands for the Cavy and stick with the Shell for the 'yota for now.
