hi im wanting to know any info about my check engine light coming on after i remove my cat do you kow how to correct this issue or if the light will effect the performance all // my car has the 2.2 ohv with the th25c 3 speed auto.... thanks
you removed the cat? if so im sure it has to do with the o2 sensor
the answer is:
put a new cat on your car. you dont have enough power to justify removing the cat.
no the light will not go away, and if you need to pass inspection....you will fail.
put the cat back on a cav without the cat sounds like a beat up civic hatchback
you correct the problem by re-installing the cat....
Google: mechanical o2 simulator. You will find your answer there.

1. get 2 sparkplug antifoulers.
2. drill out one to fit the sensor tip inside.
3. screw sensor into drilled out antifouler.
4. now screw the first anti fouler and sensor into the second antifouler.
5. and screw into sensor bung on exhaust
boom youre done, clear the code with a scan tool and youre ready to go
