the most you would pay

so alot of people ask what their car is worth on here. I'm doing things in reverse lol. what would you pay for a 99 sunfire, base model, 2 doors 5 speed, sunroof and maunal locks/windows. bone stock, tape player. the different car value sites all list different prices, and local buys are between $575 and $6000.

just curious how much i shoudl expect to pay for one.

thanks

Get all the parts you need in a pile, and drive the car into it.
They will find their way into the correct places.

kbb.com says about $1,600 (assuming 150k miles since you didn't say). anyone asking $6k for that would be out of their mind.

Depends on the area that you are in (gas prices and all), but 500 to about 2 grand is what I have seen...

Depends on body condition really. $1000 if it has enough rust but not too much, $1500-$2000 w/ little dings and dents and no more than $2500 if the body condition is PERFECT.

"the different car value sites all list different prices, and local buys are between $575 and $6000."

is that 6000 yen?

for a car thats 10yrs old, has 100k+ miles, power nothing (including engine...lol) i wouldnt pay more than 1k and thats aslong as it would pass inspection, looked decent (rust, dents) and had a good set of tires on it.

I just traded in my J
20001 115k miles, it has a noticable dent, and paint peal. The aftermarket unit is missing its volume knob. and they still want 5k for it. LOL good luck. I hope they make some money of it, but a 300% return? Sorry, I know theres a speard between trade in and retail. IMHO, if I was shopping, I wouldn't pay more then 2k, maybe 2.5. I bet its because of those sexy wheels :-p

All I have to say is I bought my 99 auto 2dr black stock rs cavalier with 63K miles for $2,000 and I traded my camaro in for $1500.

I would not spend more that $1,600 unless it is extreamly clean inside and out.
