Everybody, Please read

I figured this is the best place to post this first. Hopefully everybody who visits JBO will visit in here and will see this.
While all the forums are helpful I believe that the maintenance forums importance is often overlooked. It is nice
to be able to get info on our cars exteriors, radio upgrades, and things that are cosmetic or added for performance.
The thing is the maintenance forum is what keeps us coming back to install all of those goodies. Without keeping our
cars maintained and in running order there is no point in installing turbos or new rims. What I'm trying to say is even if
you don't have any maintenance issues at the moment maybe just take a peek in the maintenance forum and see if
there is anything you can help with. I always look at the posts that have no or low replies first to see if I can help
somebody in a jam who maybe needs some help to get their car running to get to work the next morning. I can't remember
the times I have done a search for something in there where somebody needed help and was never replied back to.
To tell you the truth it makes me feel sad knowing they were ignored. I understand that problems are addressed in all the
forums but, the maintenance forum is the core place where people go for general help that more than likely several of us
have been through already. I know that forum has saved me many trips to a dealer/mechanic. I hope this isn't taken the
wrong way as if that forum matters most. I just feel we should help out our brothers and sisters in here as it just may save their
job, huge pile of cash, or time with a few moments of our time.

the thing is, with the platform being around for almost 27 years, there are few problems (mainenance wise) that havn't already been covered. a simple search can often yield a lot of results, especially if a new thread doesn't get a reply.

besides, all too many threads are so general that it's hard to diagnose a problem correctly. the mainenance forum is only so helpful.

you should still try and help if you know a previous post that could help the person drop them a line and let them know about it

still wouldn't hurt to give people some ideas where to look.
