Looking for my old Cav any help would be appreciated
Saturday, January 24, 2009 7:40 PM
Hey guys I used to belong to here a long time ago like 97-2000 somewhere in there with my 97 z24 Anyways, life changed and i sold the car to help build a house. I sold it locally here in PA then it got sold into a guy in Spokane Washington then to someone in Idaho I think, that's as far as I traded it. Any help tracking it down or info on it would be great. I'm not necessarily looking to buy it back, but I would like to see if its still around (hopefully). Oh, I did search this site for for 97 cavs in purple and checked all those and didn't see it, there is a cardomain page for it but it is the guy from Washington who sold it.

after the seats were done, these are the seats that were in it when it was sold:

the system when it was sold:

below is from before the total face lift, just in case any of you have been on here forever and a day and remember the car from back then. it was featured in Street Customs Mag in 2001 like this:

i dont have any pics of the engine bay left, but wasn't too much done perf wise, alot of painted stuff, chrome loom, rksport ceramic coated header, weapon r intake(killed my performance, but looked way better than the rk plastic one) I was going to do a turbo but i had to keep waiting for hahn racecraft to get theirs out on the market, by the time they did i had way too much into the car to care about speed anymore. i had already done the baer brake upgrades too, had eibachs and paid through the nos for a custom set of bilsteins for it before they were available. i later went to air though.

also, these are the wheels that were on it when i sold it, not that it matters, just found this pic while looking for an engine shot.

I don't have any help finding it... but I remember the cav... both phases. I loved them both. That's the reason I went with the Andy's street fighter kit originally

had a couple people ask about mods so here is what i can think of:

97 z24 5 spd
z3 fenders
rksport ram air hood
97 galant headlight conversion, hood/fenders/bumper remolded to lights
hand laid fiberglass headlight/radiator cover
andy's front bumper stretched about 1 1/2"
andy's rear bumper with plate shaved and filled
ground dynamics side skirts
suicide doors
97 audi euro a4 tail lights conversion, actual sections from a4 were grafted in for this
euro a4 trunk skin
fully motorized and folding trunk
suicide gas door
jsp wing(i wanted to shave it off but but didnt get to it)
custom mixed ultraviolet metallic w/ 2 pearls
shaved: handles, locks, antenna
rear quarters widened 1"
baer racing rear disk conversion & front upgrade
strutbags w/ 1/2 front valves and 3/8" rear valves
rksport header
2 1/4" cat back piping with dual rksport stainless mufflers
weapon r intake
custom seats
many diff tv setups and systems with fiberglass all over(audio and video equipment was stripped out for car being sold)
when sold 18" fusion enigmas with 215 35 nangkangs

I remember that car from back in the day. Was one of the most modded cavs around. Even before Teske and Mull.
Back in the day that car was the style. It was not "Rice" back then.

I'm not a fan of the headlights, tho they look good on their native car. the tails are good tho! That wing looked like @!#$ from the day it was conceived!

the wing is precociously egolicious, but it was the cat's meow back in the day
