IS anyone swapping rear cobalt assymbly's in thier cavs?

Or is it even possible? I need to make measurments, but I can find this at the yard for around 300 with the rear disk brakes.

02 Trans am ws6 - Pace setter long tube headers, off road y-pipe,magnaflow exhaust, slp lid, bored polished throttle body, throttle body by pass, some other free mods, jegster lower control arms. best ET 12.7@112mph Heads/Cam in future

No. Cobalts are Delta bodies not J-bodies.

Yea but the assemblys have same engineering in the rear assemblys may not be same measurments. seems easy modifications could make it possible

Then do it. But why spend the time and effort to weld in another solid trailling axle when there is a documented IRS install?

If you want it just for the rear disc brakes, there are easier ways to get them. SSBC and Baer both make kits and the Neon rear disc swap is documented also.
