does everyone up here hate cars that stand out because of their paint job??
he is referring to an earlier thread where he called a charcol paint job bland and posted a link to a link where a car "stood out" because of it's paint job.
Answer..tastefully done..no look up big poppa, sndsgood, bummerz...any of them
i never once called his paint job bland.
ahhh.
yes. there is a very obvious line between standing out and tacky.
personally i like bland if that is how you put it
Jealous?
It's not your car so why do you care?

I prefer tacky stickers. Way cheaper and gets me some horsepower to boot.

if you are talking to me. no. i do not care
but man am i jealous of japanese bill@!#$ on the hood...
two tone. not bad.
japanese crap and whatever is separaing the colors. tacky.
well the stripe on the side didnt come out the way i wanted... as for the japanese(it says sunfire btw)... i did it solely to be flashy to the people who judged my senior project
after i fix it im thinkin imma paint it jet black with silver hot rod style flames that have green tips. opinions?
if you pull it off right, i think it could look awesome
Would I be detecting a bit of sarcasm??

Hmmm... Black with silvergreen tipped flames? That could be something nice if done correctly. now something in that color scheme and looking like sndsgood's car , that would be smokin' too!! no pun intended.
yea that would be awesome. but i cant airbrush... nor do i know anyone that can...
ive been informed that black is a bad choice for my car... so now i get to think of a new scheme...
somethin about a lot of bondo in my quarter panels or something... im a lil confused about it myself lol
he also said somethin bout black not doin the car justice... or white... told me to try and go with metallic colors
Black shows the inperfections more so if the Bondo wasnt done well it would show more than other colors. As long as the car is smooth you should be golden.
LOL

exactly....basically what your painter said is your body work sucks and black will show all the imperfections, so use a metallic to cover up the shotty work.
my question would be why is there alot of filler on the car?
ps - its filler, not bondo.
I think there are some photos in his profile of his car with the wheels pointing to the sky?? a bit of roof surfing I think? that would constitute mass quanities of body filler IMO.
