i have an 02 2200 that im putting in my 97.Having issues with theft system.Goes into tamper prof mode when starting. 02 pcm not communcating with 97 ipc. is there a way to disable or bypass.

Your best bet is to keep the 2.2 electronics from the 1997. A 2000+ pcm will NEVER communicate with the ipc... since it is suppose to communicate with the ipc instead. And you can not install a bcm in a 1997. Your only other option is to swap wiring in the 97 to the 02 wiring. I mean ALL of it... PLUS the fuel lines, pump. cluster, etc, etc...
