I even tried running your VIN with a buddy of mine at a GM dealer.. no dice. For some reason, it's just not coming up. I have a list of all the possible colours for 1987 here, can scan it and send to you.

I see 75 and 77 coming up, which are both on the list from GM. GM 75 = Fisher WA 8980, medium garnet red metallic. Or GM 77 = Fisher WA 9077 Medium Red Metallic.

Have you tried looking under the rear seat or behind the trunk carpeting for a build sheet? Might get lucky.
