So I've been pondering the idea of having a drag racing shootout sometime next year, like the TVR shootout last year. I figured should make it seprate from the bash since it seems every year the tracks are crappy. (not saying its your fault paul) So I'm wondering if there is any interest in trying to plan an event like this, with main theme being LD9 vs ECO simply for fun bragging rights...... discuss and express ideas concerns, where to hold the event( has to be a good track), if your a company, willingness to sponsor

Yes!! Good Idea. Id be in man. I don't know any good tracks besides the ones here in Ohio(Norwalk, Nationaltrails).. Id be willing to trailor the car for this event.

Everyone would be invited just the main shootout that I figured would be cool would be the ld9 vs eco all out battle, because that seems to be the biggest rivalry and with this it would be a extra reason for everyone to bring their A game to try and make their team come out victorious. It would be great for this to show enough interest to be able to rent out a track so it wouldn't be a battle to get in all the qualifying and ladder. I don't want this to just be a one race deal either, like have a bracket racing class, all out classes for power adders and n/a. Also I think it would be awesome if we could round up cobalt guys too, but i think the ld9 vs eco battle should be j's only since it would be like a battle of the board race. Keep this going guys with ideas, and show your interest so we can make this happen.

The reason I say cobalts shouldn't be allowed is because the eco vs ld9 battle is something only on this board, cobalts never came with ld9s, I just think the battle should be a battle of our message board to fit for bragging rights and a one off trophy. As far as classes go probably make it into a all out power adders, n/a, and then from there pull out the fastest eco and ld9 for a final battle run, but all so have a bracket racing class as well. Right now I'm 99% sure this is going to happen just have to stay tuned for final details

well depending on when and where this i might be up for it....my eco build should be done and depending on if this conflicts with the GM power tour im all for it
