Its not the issue of distance, its an issue of getting the time off work to drive, id have to take like 3 days off and i dont see them letting me get away with that

Yes I understand that ...I will have to take time off from work also ... I will be taking the whole week off to make it up there ,trying to put the final touches on the car and leaving late Wed to drive up ...Trust me Its the same for all of us from fla that plan to drive up .. And down here you can see a 6ft rat ,(mickey mouse) Trust me when I say this going off all night long..
I'm sorry that you will not be making our show also. Guess we will see you up there. looking forward to meeting some new peeps and seeing some new cars
Sounds like a fun weekend! I'm gonna try and sneak out of work early to make it both nights. I'd like to meet some j-body enthusiasts since I haven't really met any yet.
How late do people usually hang out for the show? I probably won't be able to get there until 6pm, but the track night shouldn't be a problem.
Fri night after the track and Sat after the show most of us go back to the hotel (1 block away) and hang around the pool ,then go out to eat , Ect .. We leave Sunday around noon
Yeah...I figured as much
But hopefully I can still catch some cars and meet some new people.

What day are you talking about coming in? Friday or Saturday?

I work at Waterford Lakes on Friday so I won't be too far from Orlando Speedworld and I am usually out by 7 so Friday night isn't that bad. Saturday is the one where I might end up missing everything if I can't get out of working which is pretty unlikely right now. Only thing I can hope for is getting out early or at least earlier than 7 so I can catch some part of the car show.
Ok. yeah Friday we should be at the track until 10. Saturday we usually go to dinner in groups, or a large group, then hang out. Can you not request the day off?

Unfortunately my Supervisor already has that week/weekend off for his trip up to Deal's Gap with his motorcycle club and aside from me, there is only one other guy working in our department.
like John said, you'll miss the show itself but we always get together and hit up some dinner or chill poolside at the hotel.. most ppl stay til Sunday, so as far as meeting everyone, you got a good chance of that

Sounds good to me! I'm looking forward to meeting some of you finally and checking out some j's.
screw it & come to the show anyways - work and paychecks are over rated
