If anyone can give me a nice clear description or direct... How does one align the headlights on their own? I'm sure this could be useful to many. saves money and its probably super simple, i've looked online and cant really find anything. looked around the forums, can't find anything there either, so i figured why not ask.
THANKS!
theres to little star looking bolts.. u can either get a torx screw driver.. or a socket fits around the star also. one makes it go up and down the other went is left and right. there gold lookin bolts i believe
At night, on level ground, aim your headlights at a wall about 6 feet back or so and make any necessary adjustments.
no during the day time and towards a lake/ocean is the best way..
if he cant figure out when to do it i doubt he will be able to do it period
Nose up to a wall (with a BIG level parking lot behind you) at night, and put a masking tape '+' where the hot spot of each high beam headlight is. Back up straight about 25-30 feet. Your lights should still be centered on the '+'. Low beams will automatically be adjusted, typically they wind up just down, and to the right. Low beams will usually come up about 2/3 the way up the back of a typical sedan-type car, not quite putting any light into the rear window. Foggy nights are great to see just where the beam of light is going. Our j-bodies don't exactly have the best design to make the best use of the bulb output. Probably just barely making the minimum lumination intensity. I'd suggest getting a set of hyper-whites. 'Blue' headlights only slightly better than normal bulbs. Look for bulbs (from popular manufacturers) that mention HID-like light. If a cop pulls up, stay calm, relax, and be friendly. Using the masking tape saved my @ss from a vandalizing citation! Just take the tape off when you're done. Musta been the first time 'Barney Fife' saw someone aiming their headlights! Haha
