thanks alot cale!!!
There is no specific msd wire set for any J body. (that I know of)
I would use Ac delco or NGK plugs.
msd are worthless unless you need it.
It wont use any more than it needs to effectly burn the A/F mix.
So yeah buy em', piss away some money why dont you

im just looking for a better wire then what have used in the past on jbodys becuase all the regular old cheap ones never last and they seem to fall apart and the boots like to break when you pull them off to check the plugs but thats just me experience but what do you expect for 14.99 at the local parts store.....get what ya pay for
i have a question... I have MSD wires and the #2 plug broke off and i was wondering if i can use my stock Bosch Spark Plug for now??
Thanks!!
Hello, I had a MSD wire break on me and i was wondering if i can use the stock spark plugs for now? Will it make a difference because im using MSD Coils and NGK plugs..
It starts to sputter or bog when i try and take off in 1st gear and when i step on it...
Any help would be appreciated!

The amount of resistance in a stock 7mm wire is dramatically greater than that of say a MSD 8.5mm wire. At a higher RPM when the coils start to fade off voltage, the difference between a strong spark and a weak spark can be made in the wires. And a MSD universal set is roughly equivalent in price to a set of Delco wires from the dealer. So it's not like you're pissing any money away for nothing. You're getting a much better wire for damn near the same price. Oh, and I have had many vehicles that I have put the 8.5mm wire on a bone stock drivetrain and increased fuel economy. My brother increased his fuel economy on his 99 Alero by 3 to 6 MPG, my 99 Blazer by about the same, my 86 Monte Carlo, about 2 MPG. I can keep going but I'm not going to waste time with careless information.
Personally, I think a universal set for a small block chevy with the stock HEI ignition would be your best bet. You can customize them for you specific application. They'll run you about $85.00 at Summit Racing Equipment.
Some people have brain storms, others light drizzles. And then there are those that have droughts.
Ya.
Basically just go with at least an 8mm wire of your choosing and call it a day.
