Well long story short i wrecked the car towed it to my house. All i can see is a broken tie rod end.. so i got a new one slapped it on.. im sure other things are bent maybe control arm etc.. but Im just trying to move the damn thing 20ft.. anyway i start it (runs fine).. put it in drive it stays at 10mph.. As if the wheels are off the ground or something. The alxes look to be fine i have no idea. Obviously something with the tranny is messed up or something?? Do you have any suggestions i can get. Like said i put it in drive hit the gas it doesnt move. Just stays on around 10mph
does the engine rev up when you step on the gas?
yes it revs.. its an automatic im thinking the axle is broke or popped out?
Axle broke or pulled out is very much a possibilty, especially if no lines were broke for fluid to escape. Were one of the front wheels hit? If so, get under there and look around, mighta busted a CV joint...
when you have any type of transimission problems the cars computer goes into a "limp home" mode witch will not allow the car to go over 10 or out of 2nd gear, you should be able to correct this problem either by disconecting the battery for a while or by getting the error codes erased. if this still don't correct the problem them you may have another more major problem.. but start with this simple stuff first, considering you had a bit of a spill with it you will probably be your problem.
