okay so i gotta change my head gasket for my 98 2.2 2200 ohv engine
i now how to and having some help but while im taking the head apart and all that any suggestion or tips??
should i do any mods cuz i already have to tare it apart?
any comments would be appreciated
go to autoparts store buy the cavalier repair manual. trust me it's very helpful
yea i already got the haynes manual.
i gonna start working on it tonight and this weekend.
but i do have one more question , the incoming and out coming gas lines that go to the fuel rail how do i disconnect those?
the book said you need a special tool but didn't say much about it? so then i could pull the injectors out. and all that good stuff,
i have to change my thermostat anyway i bought one from orally....should i get a different one. heard some bad hings about it?
can't remember 2200 if it has a fuel rail like the 2.4 just pull then entire rail and injectors set them aside
i only did 1 2200 done a few 95-97 but there fuel lines just unbolt
just lay out your bolts when they come out and labe them so you know where they go back in

the lines have special clips in them. i messed around w/ it for a while and got them w/ a screw driver. alot of autoparts places "rent:" tools for free. look into that. might be your best bet. as far as the thermostat goes it's a pretty simplle/basic piece that one should be just fine
yea you should use the tool to get the lines off. i broke mine with a screwdriver, and had to replace the fitting. the kit is cheap or you can put down a deposit at autozone.
Did I mention I drive a 2000 Lumina now?-----wigm-tuners.org member
