Where is the BCM exactly, and what does it look like? Anybody have a picture of it?

Thanks McManus for the info.
Turns out, I needed a new bcm; I fried the old one when I arc'd the battery cables. I picked up a brand new one from gmpartsdirect.com for less than $75, can't complain.
Has anyone ever swapped one of these? Any tricks I should know about? I anticipated it being fairly plug and play. This time I'm gonna make sure I connect the battery cables in the correct sequence however.
btw, apparently the ground for the dome light and the trunk light are routed through the bcm, not separate. That must be why something so simple could cause things to go so horribly wrong.

Unplug the 3 connectors, there are tabs, one on each side that hold the BCM in the white holder, pry the tabs over, pull the BCM out from the tabs a little and slide the BCM up.
yeah, its plug and play. also, you got a great deal on that part. just pop it in and go.

Not as easy as I originally thought... Check out the closely related thread to this one. titled: BCM replacement.
