This ever happen to anyone? I'm not sure if it will be fixed after drying overnight or not. I want to jump the fan relay to see if its the motor but I'm not sure how to do that.I will have to take a cab to the parts store in the morning so I need to know the bare minimum of what to get. I also have very limited tools because I am not at home. If it turns out its the relay and not the motor and I need to drive ~150 miles, could I just hard wire it and keep it running until I get back home?I could care less about the power steering for now but it looks like they run off the same harness. Please help anyone. thank you for reading.

You could run a toggle switch directly to the fan, Not sure if you want to run the fan 100% run of the time, Basically burnt it out fast. I guess if youre not traveling far to get home it should work out. Power steering not to sure what could be up with that.
Good Luck.
yes you can hard wire th fan to keep it running but use a toggle switch that way you can turn it off as well while your on the highway.
first......fill out your registry. no one knows what car your driving and what engine you have.
second....no matter which type of power steering you have.....it has nothing to do with wiring. the "power" does not refer to electricity. if you have a belt driven power steering pump, the belt could be slipping, or broke.
happened to me the other day too, make sure you have fluid and drain it to make sure no water is in there, then change your serpentine belt. You probably will not get pull power steering back this is an infamous porblem with older Cavis, what do you drive?
