Okay a friend of mine's father has a 96 2.2 cav with almost 200,000 miles on it. Well the cooling fan stopped working on it so they replaced the fan, and the new fan didn't work either. So we turned the AC on and the fan still doesn't come on. So we changed the relay and still have nothing. So I pulled out the relay in the fuse panel under the hood for the cooling fan, and made a jumper wire just to check and when I jump the leads the fan comes on. Now I have tested the relays and they're fine they work and click on and off like they're supposed to. Any thoughts on what the issue could be with the fan?

My 99 actually doesn't run the fan with the A/C either.
Perhaps the CTS, or the Temperature Switch has taken a dump?
coolant temperature sensor.
Could be, or there could be something wrong with the fuse block thats not allowing a good connection to the relay, but when you jam jumper wire in there it works fine.
There could be several things that may cause this. What temp is the car running at??

It will run up to 230 before we shut the car down, Don't want it to over heat and pop a head gasket.

well 1sr off, does it have coolant in it?? if so, whats the condition?
It's got fresh coolant, just put a new radiator in it, and flushed the coolant.
