I have a 96 Sunfire 2.2L 3speed auto. Yesturday I took the car out for the first time in 6months to get inspected. It started up fine and sounded good. After about 15 minutes of driving it around, it started to buck at low rpms like it wanted to stall It would drop way under 1000 rpms. I had to smash the throttle to keep it from stalling. It also took it a while to kick in after i hit the throttle. It only does it when coming to a stop. What could be the problem?

it hasnt been started in 6 months......my first guess would be some bad gas.....put some fresh in and see what happens.

I actually filled her up before driving it. It was almost empty when i took it out of the garage. Could it be the fuel filter might be clogged?
