Passenger engine mount adapter

Alright, so some wonderful engineer somewhere who is a lot smarter than myself decided to install a three inch long bolt in a two in space. Well.... Three of those suckers anyways.

I have a 2k1 Z24 Cavy with a bad head gasket. The big hangup I have is that bloody engine mount adapter. No, I don't have the special tool to put on the alt stud to support the engine, and unless it helps me remove those bolts, I don't foresee it being acquired any time soon.

So what is the trick to getting those three little bolts out?

I have a sawz all, and I'm just about ready to use it...

Any other tips and tricks are also welcome. Thanks in advance!

I usually just remove the mount so the engine can move up & down...

Put a jack under the motor, or a hoist above & raise & lower the motor to gain access to the bolts... You'll need to go through the wheel well to get at them....

Its a real pain in the ass, you might wanna remove the passenger side axle to gain more travel.

Got it done. Detached the dog bone at the bottom and it gave me just barely enough clearance to get all three from the top.
