when i put my car in first (its a 3spd auto) i can hear a whistling noise.... what would that be?
blower motor?, if its while shifting into first you may need to lubricate the shifter, may be a mettle on mettle sound, otherwise I have no idea.

i have no idea where its coming from, i cant stand outside of my car while its in gear and search around...lol
my best guess would be somewhere from the engine bay area

My 2000 3 speed does the same thing. If it is in 2nd or 3rd it doesn't just first. And it's been like that since i put the motor in and i have probably 5000 miles on it now with no problems. Since i could never figure it out.
