OK let me try to explain what is going on. I have a 00 z24 cavalier with a auto tranny. So i am driving along today about 80mph when i hear this pfffft noise and my seems to lag for just a second, then goes away. Next thing i know i see smoke coming in my vents and i know that it is oil, i look out my rear view mirror and realize I'm laying down a thick white smoke screen that would male James bond look like he has a fog machine. I pull off to the side, pop the hood and realize that there is oil everywhere it look like it shot sideways out of the block and is leaking underneath. When i start it it has wicked shimmy like a motor mount broke off. Well if anyone could give me there opinion that would be great..

oh and something else I had the engine rebuilt at 63,000 miles it blew a rod the new motor has about the same also when it 's running it ticks like a lifter or something the faster you accelerate the faster the tick

Officer "An invisible car came out of nowhere, hit my car and disappeared.

did you think to check and see where the oil was coming from. that would be a major indicator of what happened.
