i wanna say the switch on the column because i highly doubt all those bulbs would burn out at the exact same time.

Have you had your dash removed recently? I was working on the stereo on my 97 and had removed the dash to install the deck. Ran out of time and just set the dash in the car. Well turned it on and no dash lights. There is a plug under the dash by the right side of the gauges that needs to be plugged in. Don't know if that helps you, but boy am I glad I did not put any screws back in lol as install was not done yet.
