Im putting my head back on for my 02 2.2 sunfire. I do not know the head tourqe specs. Does anyone know the pounds that are required for the factory head bolts?
i am summing you got a 2.2l over head Cam motor?.
2.2L OHC: 02-05
Step 1 : Main bolts 1 to 10 : 22 in-lbs.
Step 2 : front bolts 11 to 14 : 25 in-lbs.
2.2L OHV 95-01
step 1 :Short bolts 43 in-lbs.
step 2 : Long bolts 46 in-lbs.

i don't know the torque spec off hand but i think you mean ft-lbs

no. it is ft-lbs. if you torqued your head to 43 in-lbs, you'd get no compression.

It is 43 and 46 ft/lbs but then an additional 90 degrees...
