my car has a nice little knock at about 3k rpm its a 98 z24 i just want to know some peoples opinions

could be a lifter? i have a tap in mine at idle. been there for a good while. guy i bought the car from said it had it when he got it in 2001.

after reading what i wrote i realized i could put in a bit more info. the car has just under 150,000 miles on it with a manual transmission and the u cant hear the knock at idle but around 3k it starts i was thinking rod bearing but i dropped the pan and everything looks good my next thought would b wrist pin but im not for sure so thats why im asking
