i have a 2000 cavalier with the 2200 sfi and yesterday the check engine light came on i had it lookes at at autozone they said it was the front o2 sensr but it is still running fine in fact it seems to have a little more power could any one tell me if i should just replace it or let it go

you can do whatever you want, but if you ignore the CEL, then you wont notice when there is an additional CEL. Like the one you will evenually get for the rear O2 because you ruined your cat by not replacing your front O2.
replace the o2... its gunna hurt your fuel mileage... and possibly in the long run srew your cat...
