How do you fix a cross threaded spark plug hole? I just bought a 2.2 ohv sunfire and was changing the plugs when I came across one that someone obviously didnt know what the hell they were doing and crossthreaded it! Can you fix this without taking the damn head off? I know on my mustang I had a plug blow out of the head and had to helicoil it. Can I just use like a thread chaser or something?

even if you can do a thread chaser, you are getting a bunch of small filings into the cyl.

not something i recomend with the head on.
