Hey guys, I have had my 00 Grand Am 2.4 on jackstands for about a month now. The nice folks a Fidanza sent me a check for some damage their flywheel did.

Anyway, I have gotten the tranny back on the car and tried to start it last night, dead battery. But it did sound like it wanted to turn then seemed to "catch/jam" and not turn. Charged it last night and tried again just now.

Now I'm totally freaking out. It does turn over but rattles/scraps really bad. I do not want to start it like that. I did have the oil drained for about a week of that time. Could the cylinders need some oil before I go further. Not exactly sure where the noise is. Kinda hope it's a dry cylinder cause the tranny sure shouldn't sound like that. Or does it sound fubar. Thanks.

Well, I decided to not be a girl and start the thing. The grind lasted about 2 seconds, longest 2 seconds I can remember for a while.
She's running smooth and gets thru all the gears perfectly.
