OK, I have a stripped thermostat housing bolt, there are only 2 of them, and I know they are 8mm, but I need a new one and I dont know what to look for when I go to the parts store. I looked through my haynes maunaul, with no luck, does anyone know what size they are?
Thanks

I can tell u that advance auto parts sells those studs and are sold near the hose clamps and cooling section for radiator stuff on the floor. The ones I looked at just two days ago are for the themostat housings specifically. And the ones I saw were metric. If they are not in that area they will be in the HELP section for (red colored packaging) which includes tools, clips, fuel line quick disconnect etc.I think those studs should be with the rad caps, clamps each store varies on set up.The only reason I noticed was I just flushed my trks rad,and went in for a therm and considered repl my studs which are fine, but like 21 yrs old.I would recommend using some antiseeze (permatex brand or other) just for future problems on removal.Hope this helps worst case if advance or auto zone do not have them napa prolly would.

yeah, thanks for the info, but I just took my old bolt in with my housing leaking antifreeze (a very little amount) and got a new one. But thanks!
