after reading on installing timing chain i looked at my stock to see if wasy my problem, but isnt the red link supposed to line up with the mark above exh cuz its off by 1. i could be wrong

the red one is a master link so you can take the chain off.

on the Eco the timing marks only line up when you put the chain on. If you line it all up and spin the motor they wont align again (eventually they will bt were talking liek 100+ rotations before it lines up right again)
by the way it doesn't look like your anywhere close to top dead center
