Would anyone know why there is a chirping noise coming from the engine area? It seems it is coming from the accessary belt area.

It could be the belt or tensioner, but tensioners usually squeak rather than chirp. (Note: Smart-assed rodent and/or bird references have been deliberately avoided here.) You can get a can of belt dressing, lube or whatever at any auto supply store. If you spray a little on the pulley/roller where the belt contacts it with the engine running and the chirp goes away, you've found the problem. Lubes are usually short lived in my experience though and you should consider replacing the belt. If the squeak persists through these tests, the common suspect would be the tensioner. (My initial bet would be on an old dry belt.) Good luck. - Mark
