Very strange problem
Monday, December 08, 2008 7:48 AM
My cav is doing something weird, and this just started a week or so ago. When I let off the gas and coast at low speeds (Like under 40) I hear a clunking sound as I'm rolling down the road. The clunking slows down as the car slows down. But when I press on the gas and the car goes back into gear, they go away.

This is driving me insane, and I have a bad feeling it might be my transmission, although it almost feels like it's coming from either my drivers side front or rear wheel.

Taking both wheels off showed nothing visually wrong with it, but perhaps I should be checking something else? Any help would be greatly appreciated guys.

Bump. Any suggestions? Pretty sure it isn't the tranny anymore, I'm thinking perhaps wheel hub? Is there something I should try?
