Any one ever tried this? Does it work? Ive got a blown head gasket on my car and i need to get that fixed but i dont have the money right now and ive gotta pass the state emissions test in a few weeks. So do you think an o2 simulator could fool the emissions people? Last time i went into the emissions place they didnt even hook up a hose to my exhaust to test the exhaust it seemed like they just tested the computer and looked for what it was reading from the car...... also does anyone have a used one i could get?

i dont get what you're trying to ask... the o2 sim only works for the post cat sensor. so long as the check engine light isn't on and there' no visible smoke, you should pass.

I'm confused as to what a blown head gasket has to do with needing a O2 sim.

if you have a blown headgasket you shouldn't be driving the car. worry about inspection after you fix whats wrong.. you're going to do a ton more damage driving a car with oily water/ watery oil
Any car above like a 1995 in my state (WI) doesn't get the tube thing on the exhaust. They just read the computer to see if there's any errors showing up.
