I have a '95 Cavalier. It's been a fantastic car.
In the middle of a winter drive home last night my windshield wipers stopped working.
They were trying hard to work, instead of making a swath across the windshield, they would try hard to move up, then down but not really move much at all (maybe an inch up then down.) They were really struggling and I could reset them to anywhere on the windshield and they would sort of just make little lurches up and down.
I wasn't iced up, my windshield was just wet.
Any ideas?
Bad wiper motor would be my first guess...?
98 z24, few upgrades, nitrous on the way!
I've heard, and i don't know if this is true or not that on J's the wiper motor will sometimes overheat and cause the wipers to stop entirely. Granted, just something i heard don't know if it is true or not.
