its on a 94 2.2 cavalier engine it loses a little bit of coolant i think it might be the head gasket because in the back and on the side of the head i see where it looks like it is leaking from but the car run's fine and the oil and coolant are both clean? so could it still be the head gasket? or could it be somthing else?
also on a side note only seems to start to leak very little while the car is running because i pressure tested the coolant system and it seemed to hold pressure and nothing was leaking. but once i started it up on the one side i started to see a little run out but just one on the one side so it seems like it only leaks it in the back and on the sides some of the time not all of the time.
Sounds possible, I would pull the spark plugs 1 @ a time & also a compression test wouldn't hurt either. Then If there is any yellowish / white on the plugs u got a H/G problem, Also I would once u got the cyl H/D off I would get it testes for cracks, Also another good thing to do is shampoo the motor down then watch and see if the coolant is for sure leaking in that area.
Good Luck.
Keep us updated.
I was just woundering if a head gasket can just leak externaly and not internal.
