I had a 2.4 come to me needing a cam carrier gasket needing changed. I advised the guy that with 148,000 miles on the engine while it was that far apart he should change the water pump, the timing chain, and the head gasket. I did all of the above, set the timing the way chiltons says to and checked it 4 times. once we got the car done we start it and there is a miss. It is almost like there is a major vacuums leak. When you take the car down the road there is no problem, it runs like a top. I am at a loss as to what it could be i replaced the intake gasket on it, and have no idea where the problem is. any help anyone can give is appreciated!
