hey, i was wondering if anyone on here could give me some advice to help me rewre my headlights on my 97 cav OHV..anything to make it a little easier. sme diagrams would be great. the wiring is all corroded and broken everywhere. i had all the factry electrical tape peeled back the other night at the shop i work at and found that out. i had this posted on here last night but i didnt read the rules and i cross posted accidently..lol..so i recieved a warning..but now i read the rules so i know what im doing...so any help will be greatly appreciated..oh yea..i also done the search and didnt quite find what i was lookin for.
Below the battery you will see a harness connector. It is round. It is most likely a bad connection where one of those wires goes into the connector. try moving around the wires going into the connector on both sides of it with the headlights on and watching to see if the lights flicker. only move one wire at a time until you isolate that wire. The best thing you can do at this point is to see which wire is the same one on the opposing side of the connector and bypass the connector for those wires. In other words, cut off the bad wire and the wire that connects to the same pins on both sides of the connector. then just solder or crimp on a jumper wire going to both cut wires and you should have it fixed!
