would having my car tested tell me exactly what is wrong with my heater?
i have the same problem...just never actually looked into getting it fixed. does kinda suck not having the windshield defroster during the winter though...
i am thinking about getting a different car.
its probably just the door that moves when you turn the knob...maybe whatever attaches the knob to the door got loose? i'll take a look at my car tomorrow and tell ya what i find out(assuming that our problems are the same)
i will look at my heater this weekend.
the reason why the heat was only coming out of the front vents is because a cable on the back of the heater control was bent.
that cable is a cheap part to buy. it is only a $10-$15 part to buy. that will fix your heater.
bringing this back from the dead.
Just recently my cable broke and when I have my heat turned on I cannot control where the heat comes from, it just comes out the directional vents. How do I go about replacing this? can I di it from where the control switched are or do I have to pull a bunch of plastic out and get under the dash? also anyone know the cable part #?
